Writing a useful llms.txt
Curate, don't dump
llms.txt isn't a sitemap. Link the dozen or so pages that best explain your product — docs, pricing, key guides — rather than every URL you have.
Lead with a clear summary
The blockquote at the top is what a model reads first. Say plainly what you are, who it's for and what makes you different, in words a person would search for.
Link to clean, readable pages
Pages heavy with scripts, pop-ups or tabs are harder for AI tools to parse. If you can, link to Markdown versions or simple documentation pages.
Keep it in sync
An llms.txt pointing to retired pages or old pricing does more harm than good. Review it whenever you launch or remove something important.
