Changelog
Product updates and improvements for IndexBoost.
2026-08-28
- Fixed: Connecting a Google account could fail to import your sites with a database error. Signing in and importing your Search Console sites now works reliably again.
2026-08-27
- Fixed: URLs that only differ by a #fragment or a ref/fbclid/gclid/etc. tracking parameter are no longer submitted as separate links.
- Added: A banner now appears on the site page when auto-indexing is off, with a one-click button to turn it on.
- Added: Backlinks tracking — see which backlinks to your site Google and Bing already know about.
- Added: A /llms.txt file describing IndexBoost is now published so AI assistants and LLMs can accurately reference the product.
- Added: You can now permanently delete your account and its data from the Billing page.
- Fixed: Google account connections stay valid longer — access tokens are now refreshed proactively before they expire instead of only when something needed them.
- Added: Newly verified domains in Google Search Console are now picked up automatically, without needing to reconnect your Google account.
- Added: Sites verified under the same Bing Webmaster account as one you've already connected are now discovered and added automatically.
- Fixed: Pages that Google marked as not-yet-indexed were sometimes never checked again. They're now retried on a regular schedule even for sites that keep discovering lots of new pages.
- Added: The site page now shows a submission progress bar — how many links have been submitted so far, how many are left, and roughly how many days it'll take given the daily submission limit.
- Added: IndexBoost now detects when a site runs on beehiiv, Substack, or Kit and shows a link to that platform's custom-domain setup guide, since a custom domain is needed before those posts can be discovered and submitted.
- Changed: Google submissions are now shared more fairly when multiple of your sites use the same Google account — the busiest site can no longer use up the whole day's quota, and newest content is prioritized while older queued pages are swept in near the end of the day.
2026-08-09
- Added: A dedicated page to manage your Google service accounts.
- Changed: Upgraded the platform to the latest Symfony release for better performance and security.
2025-09-23
- Added: Upload your own Google service account instead of waiting for one to be provisioned automatically.
2025-02-01
- Fixed: Disabled sites are no longer checked for indexing status, avoiding wasted API calls.
2025-01-28
- Fixed: Bing URL submissions now respect daily quotas instead of failing when the limit is reached.
