Reading keyword density sensibly
Use it to spot stuffing, not to hit a quota
Search engines stopped counting keyword repetitions a long time ago. The useful signal here is the outlier: if one phrase is far above everything else, the page probably reads as repetitive to people too.
Look at the two- and three-word view
Single words mostly tell you the topic. Phrases show how you actually talk about it — and whether you're covering the related terms a searcher would expect to see on a thorough page.
Synonyms count, even if this tool doesn't
Modern ranking systems understand that 'sneakers' and 'trainers' mean the same thing. If your exact keyword density looks low but you're using natural variations, you're usually fine.
Check the parts people see first
Where a keyword appears matters more than how often. Make sure it's in the title, the main heading, and the first paragraph — then write the rest for the reader.
